B.A. German Education

(Highly Qualified with additional teaching endorsements in English, Language Arts, and Social Sciences)

I have had the privilege to successfully teach German to people of all different ages and skill levels – from preschoolers to top government scientists. I have also had the opportunity to both travel extensively and study in German speaking countries – invaluable experiences I pull from every day in my teaching. I am an active member of the American Association of German Teachers, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language as well as a member Delta Phi Alpha National German Honor Society.

Our family moved to the Chattanooga area nearly ten years ago when my husband joined Volkswagen; this will be my seventh year teaching German here at OMS. I reentered the teaching field after having stayed home for 15 years to raise my two wonderful boys (not quite done there as I still have one in high school and another in his third year at UTK); I feel fortunate to bring those valuable mom experiences back with me! I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for the German language and culture and am excited about another outstanding year at OMS!
